SMy essays/stories are a way to communicate through the telling of personal experiences. One reader said about my blog stories, "...these are like a cold sip during a marathon run, simple, real life events". Another offered about my blog, “it brings some sense of normalcy not easily found in the modern world.”

    1. Tell you after I finish balancing my checkbook… Seriously (ha), I feel fine. Last treatment was yesterday and a shot under the skin today to stimulate WBC. Next, weekly visits and lab work for awhile. I feel perfectly normal, just getting uglier. But big sisters always thought that about little brothers, anyway. Merry Christmas!

  1. Only just this minute read your Christmas story . This is really poignant for me as after WW2 toys were in short supply in the shops , and money scarce , too . My parents had a wooden wirk box made for me as my main present ! I dearly wanted a doll but I had to wait i another two years before Santa gave me one ! We all had an apple and orange in our stocking , too . There weren’t many presents but we still had plenty of fun in the South Yorkshire mining village were I lived then .Thans for triggering off these memories .
